Mud Lake Farm

For my Father, who I either forgot to tell about this project I did a few years back, or who wasn't as interested about a local hydroponic lettuce farm as he is now...

Providing organic leafy greens for local CSA as well as many Grand Rapids and Holland based restaurants year round.

Winter:

You don't wash these greens for dirt or pesticides, but for aphids. Bugs actually live on these plants. Imagine that!

And it tasted as good as it looks!

Sneaked in another "senior" and a wedding before Christmas break. Sara is actually currently in her freshman year of college, but as a budding photographer herself, has spent the past summers taking other's photos and not getting her own done! And Robin and Ian almost passed on getting a photographer for their wedding, but I'm glad I didn't miss out on that little party. Thanks to Sara and Ian's mothers for making sure they got some great photographs to remember these momentous times!

And yes, sneaked IS the right word. Look it up. (I had to...)

Sara:

Picking Humpty Dumpty's nose, like you would.

The colorful wedding

After a LONG day, the floor was as good a resting place as any.

Welcome 2011, can't wait to see what is in store!

Help Portrait

I took part in this yesterday, and it was a great experience. 1 photo can mean so much to someone who can't afford it!

Mountain Family Portraits

Had the chance to go visit where my siblings used to live up in the mountains and do some family photos for their friends. Wonderful families, hilarious kids, and amazing cooks! It was great to be there, and I think their photos turned out great:

Summer Seniors!

Had the opportunity to photograph a couple of awesome seniors.

Peter, the musician, introduced me to the rail yard. Legal? Debatable, but we got some great shots!

He also showed off his skills on his fixed gear bike in the amphitheater.

I also joined the beautiful Jamie there for some urban shots, but more importantly took advantage of the fall leaves in the park.

Thanks for the honor, guys!
